Jane Smart

Jane completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at La Trobe University in 2001.
She has worked with children their families for the past 17 years. She strives to provide intervention that is evidence based and fun! 
She has worked in both private and public services; including community health, mainstream and specialist school settings, home based services and early intervention settings.
She assesses and provides treatment for children aged 1-12 years who are experiencing difficulties with feeding or swallowing, understanding language (receptive language), using language (expressive language), speech (articulation and phonology) phonological awareness, voice, fluency (stuttering) and social communication (pragmatics).
She works collaboratively with other allied health professionals; including OT’s, psychologists, physiotherapist and teachers. She aims to work in partnership with families and other professionals to achieve shared goals and the best outcomes for the child.
Jane is a certified practisting member of Speech Pathology Australia and is a Hanen certified speech pathologist. She is trained in Social Thinking®, The Lidcombe Program, PECS, Makaton, BLADES, early feeding and literacy development.
